According to PortMiami, long-term cruise parking is $22 per night, while the daily rate is $8 for short-term parking. There is no reserved parking. PortMiami parking accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler’s Check. No debit card transactions are accepted. Garage J is pre-paid only, so you have to pay when you get to Garage J and are given a decal to post inside your vehicle for the duration of the cruise.
For all other parking, you pay as you leave. On cruise days, all garages and lots have a parking attendant from 6 AM to 5 PM. To access parking garages and Lot #2 on non-cruise days, please contact PortMiami Cruise Operations or Port Security at 305-347-4800. Security patrols all facilities. The closest garage to Terminal V is Garage G.
At this time, you will pick up your welcome kit at the port, complete with luggage tags and The Band - your sleek wearable technology made from recycled ocean plastic that will unlock voyage adventures around the ship.
We recommend booking a flight into the local airport (i.e. MIA or BCN) with an arrival time no later than 2pm.
In the Virgin Voyages app, Sailors can check in prior to their voyage and select an arrival time. Our vessel will set sail at the time listed and will depart in a timely manner. That means on the dot.
We understand that not everyone can drop off their luggage at their exact arrival time. So, to make things more convenient for our Sailors, we'll start accepting luggage at Terminal V from 9 AM onwards.
If you decide to drop off your luggage early, please keep in mind that you should return to the terminal no earlier than 15 minutes before your chosen arrival time. We want to avoid overcrowding and ensure a smooth check-in experience for everyone.
Just a friendly reminder, there won't be any seating available outside the terminal, and access to the terminal will be limited to Sailors at their scheduled arrival time, which you selected during the check-in process on the Virgin Voyages App. Arriving early doesn't mean you'll get in early, so please plan accordingly.
While we have not placed restrictions on Sailor luggage, we recommend limiting the number of bags you bring on board so that we can accommodate all Sailors and ensure a smooth embarkation. We also recommend checking airline restrictions if you're flying.
At Virgin Voyages, we completely support our Sailors' desire for a late checkout. With that, boarding generally begins at 2pm, but Sailors must follow their selected arrival time to complete terminal check-in.
Sailors can get a head start by completing the Ready to Sail check-in process in the Virgin Voyages App.
You'll be able to find all the deets about the ports in the Virgin Voyages App by going to the Discover tab and selecting Ports.
Our Terminal Crew will be available to assist you up to the ship with a wheelchair when you arrive at the port. Wheelchair assistance is provided from the terminal entrance to the entrance of the gangway.
